Team Outlook
Cayuga - Coach Glen Coen (0-10-0) at Cayuga and (0-10-0) Overall, returns 7 letterman 7 offensive 6 defensive starters with 4 letterman lost from a (0-10) team.
Covington - Coach Hank Laywell (2-18-0) at Covington and (2-18-0) Overall, Offense (Wing T), Defense (Split), returns 15 letterman 7 offensive 7 defensive starters with 9 letterman lost from a (1-9) team.  Overall Strength (offense), Strengths on offense (quarterback), Strengths on defense (linebacker).  Notes from the Coach: We will be stronger than we have been in the past, offensively we have good skill kids. If we stay healthy, we will physically be stronger, lack of depth and speed overall will hurt us.
Dallas I AM Academy - Coach Dave Camel (0-0-0) at Dallas I AM Academy and (13-14-0) Overall, Defense (4-4 / 4-3), returns 8 letterman 4 offensive 4 defensive starters with 6 letterman lost from a (0-5) team.  Overall Strength (defense), Strengths on offense (quarterback), Strengths on defense (defensive back).  Notes from the Coach: I expect the team to be stronger as a hole because this will be there third year playing together.  Also, since the school is growing I expect our team to grow and have more kids.   The returnees will have to step up until the new kids get adjusted to the new system.
Dawson - Coach Steve Almuete (8-12-0) at Dawson and (8-12-0) Overall, returns 16 letterman 6 offensive 7 defensive starters with 9 letterman lost from a (1-9) team.
Frost - Coach Jerry Baldridge (7-3-0) at Frost and (12-28-0) Overall, Offense (Multiple I), Defense (Multiple 5-2), returns 17 letterman 8 offensive 8 defensive starters with 3 letterman lost from a (7-3) team.  Overall Strength (defense), Strengths on offense (quarterback, offensive line), Strengths on defense (defensive line, linebacker, cornerback, punter).  Notes from the Coach:  We should be stronger due to 17 starters returning.  We will have a large senior group this fall, so leadership will be much better.  We were picked 4th in our district last season and finished in a 3-way tie for first with such a young group.  We can only hope to improve our record this fall and become a playoff team to reckon with.
Hubbard - Coach Laban DeLay (6-5-0) at Hubbard and (6-5-0) Overall, Offense (Multiple), returns 9 letterman 3 offensive 4 defensive starters with 11 letterman lost from a (6-5) 1A Area playoff team.  Strengths on offense (quarterback, running back), Strengths on defense (linebacker).
Rice - Coach Ray Brown, returns 16 letterman 8 offensive 8 defensive starters with 4 letterman lost from a (3-7) team.
Wortham - Coach Jerry Palmore (10-12-0) at Wortham and (23-37-0) Overall, Offense (Wing T), Defense (4-3), returns 13 letterman 5 offensive 6 defensive starters with 8 letterman lost from a (6-5) 1A Area playoff team.  Overall Strength (defense), Strengths on offense (running back), Strengths on defense (linebacker).  Notes from the Coach: Team should be stronger in 2004.  We need the younger players to step up into positions due to losses to graduation.
