Team Outlook
Apple Springs - Coach Brad Purvis (6-13-0) at Apple Springs and (6-13-0) Overall, Offense (Wing T), Defense (Split 6), returns 15 letterman 7 offensive 7 defensive starters with 7 letterman lost from a (2-8) team.  Overall Strength (defense), Strengths on offense (running back), Strengths on defense (linebacker).  Notes from the Coach:  This year's team will be stronger and faster than last year.  We will also be much more experienced in our offense and defense.  However, we are very thin, as far as depth.  If we can stay healthy we have a chance to be successful.
Groveton - Coach Bob Wager (16-15-0) at Groveton and (44-31-0) Overall, Offense (Multiple), Defense (46), returns 12 letterman 8 offensive 8 defensive starters with 5 letterman lost from a (7-3) team.  Overall Strength (offense), Strengths on offense (quarterback, running back, receiver), Strengths on defense (defensive line, cornerback, defensive back).  Notes from the Coach: Returns 8 offensive starters on a team that avg. 36 points per game. 
Iola - Coach Randy McDougald (112-39-2) at Iola and (141-65-4) Overall, Offense (Multiple), Defense (4-4), returns 20 letterman 10 offensive 10 defensive starters with 1 letterman lost from a (3-6-1) team.  Overall Strength (defense), Strengths on offense (running back), Strengths on defense (linebacker).  Notes from the Coach:  We return 10 offensive and 10 defensive starters and should be much better this year. We lost only one senior.
Lovelady - Coach Kerry Therwhanger (6-4-0) at Lovelady and (6-4-0) Overall, returns 14 letterman 8 offensive 6 defensive starters with 6 letterman lost from a (6-4) team. 
Normangee - Coach Keith Thomas (23-26-0) at Normangee and (23-26-0) Overall, returns 16 letterman 7 offensive 9 defensive starters with 4 letterman lost from a (8-3) 1A Bi-district playoff team.
