Team Outlook
Forney - Coach Kevin Rush (23-4-0) at Forney and (23-4-0) Overall, returns 22 letterman 4 offensive 5 defensive starters with 21 letterman lost from a (11-2) 3A Div. I Quarterfinal playoff team.
Highland Park - Coach Randy Allen (57-7-0) at Highland Park and (210-67-6) Overall, returns 35 letterman 4 offensive 2 defensive starters with 45 letterman lost from a (13-2) 4A Div. II State Semifinal playoff team.  Strengths on offense (quarterback).   Notes from the Coach:  Defensively, we return only two starters.  We will have 9 new starters that will have little experience.
Mesquite Poteet  - Coach Charles Hesse (8-12-0) at Mesquite Poteet and (114-97-1) Overall, returns 14 letterman 5 offensive 5 defensive starters with 21 letterman lost from a (4-6) team.
Terrell  - Coach Todd York (7-5-0) at Terrell and (83-34-0) Overall, Offense (Pro I), Defense (Split 6), returns 18 letterman 6 offensive 4 defensive starters with 16 letterman lost from a (7-5) 4A Div. II Area playoff team.  Overall Strength (both offense and defense), Strengths on offense (running back, receiver), Strengths on defense (linebacker, defensive back).  Notes from the Coach: A 2nd year program, they will know the program better work ethic.  We have a tough schedule and district.
West Mesquite  - Coach Gary Johnson (60-63-0) at West Mesquite and (60-63-0) Overall, returns 21 letterman 4 offensive 6 defensive starters with 21 letterman lost from a (3-7) team.
Wylie  - Coach Mark Ball (40-37-0) at Wylie and (69-85-3) Overall, Offense (Spread), Defense (3-4), returns 19 letterman 3 offensive 4 defensive starters with 30 letterman lost from a (10-3) 4A Div. II Regional playoff team.  Strengths on offense (Skill positions), Strengths on defense (linebackers).  Notes from the Coach: Even though we lost several 2 and 3-year starters on both sides of the ball, we will be more athletic, but still young.  On the offensive side, we lost all skill players, but this year’s group will be bigger, faster, with more big play ability.  The biggest questions will be on defense will be replacing, where the down 3 linemen, 3 of the starting 4 linebackers, and 3 out of 4 starting defensive backs (2 moved to new positions) are gone.
