Team Outlook
San Antonio/E Memorial - Coach Open, Offense (Veer), Defense (Split 40), returns 14 letterman 4 offensive 5 defensive starters with 17 letterman lost from a (2-8) team.  Overall Strength (defense), Strengths on offense (running back, receiver), Strengths on defense (linebacker).  Notes from the Coach:  We will have to count on younger players to contribute both offensively and defensively.  We will attempt to load up defensively, however injuries and lack of numbers have plagued our team for the last 3 years.  We are working hard during off season and spring training.
San Antonio/E Kennedy  - Coach Ed Escamilla (11-9-0) at San Antonio/E Kennedy and (11-9-0) Overall, Offense (Multiple), Defense (4-4), returns 22 letterman 8 offensive 10 defensive starters with 15 letterman lost from a (5-5) team.  Overall Strength (defense), Strengths on offense (running back), Strengths on defense (defensive line, linebacker).  Notes from the Coach: Our success will depend on how fast a new QB can take over on offense and make plays.  Defensively, our secondary will have 2 new players that must provide us with aggressive pass coverage.  We do not have great size so we must rely on execution, ball control, and quickness.  We must find a way to not allow wearing us down.
San Antonio Brackenridge  - Coach Willie Hall (40-54-0) at San Antonio Brackenridge and (40-54-0) Overall, returns 23 letterman 8 offensive 4 defensive starters from a (1-9) team.
San Antonio Edison  - Coach Javier Cardenas (14-26-0) at San Antonio Edison and (14-26-0) Overall, returns 14 letterman 4 offensive 3 defensive starters with 21 letterman lost from a (5-5) team.
San Antonio Fox Tech  - Coach Denny Peel (45-45-0) at San Antonio Fox Tech and (45-45-0) Overall, Offense (No huddle, Multiple), Defense (4-3), returns 17 letterman 6 offensive 2 defensive starters with 18 letterman lost from a (8-3) 4A Div. II Bi-district playoff team.  Overall Strength (offense), Strengths on offense (running back, offensive line), Strengths on defense (defensive back).  Notes from the Coach: The experience we have in the offensive line is a plus with 3-year starters (tackle Jesus Alverez and tackle Raymond Cantu) and 2-year starters (guard Rudy Fuentes, center Isidro Gonzalez and guard Terence Johnson).  Returning running back Sr. Ronnie Wilson All-district and New Comer of the Year as a Soph., he will add to his 2000 plus yardage in the past two years.  Sr. Rashaud Alderman and Sr. Dewey Shields will add extra relief to the running back position and double as receivers.  Quarterbacks Sr. David Holifield and Soph. Samuel Rivas will be the best two-quarterback combination Fox Tech has had.  The Buffaloes' defense will be in a re-hauling mode, losing 8 starters from last year.  FS - Francisco Vasquez and LB - Tony Alpoinar are returning starters with Philip Schuessler getting quality playing time at outside linebacker.
San Antonio Lanier  - Coach Don Gatian (42-24-0) at San Antonio Lanier and (63-44-0) Overall, Offense (I), Defense (50), returns 20 letterman 8 offensive 6 defensive starters with 10 letterman lost from a (6-5) 4A Div. I Bi-district playoff team.  Overall Strength (offense), Strengths on offense (quarterback), Strengths on defense Defensive back).  Notes from the Coach: We could make another run at the district title if everything falls into place.  We need to replace the defensive line.  We need to replace the center and fullback on offense.
San Antonio Sam Houston  - Coach Russell Tatum (35-40-0) at San Antonio Sam Houston and (35-40-0) Overall, Offense (Veer), Defense (4-3), returns 18 letterman 9 offensive 6 defensive starters with 26 letterman lost from a (8-4) team.  Overall Strength (offense), Strengths on offense (running back, receiver), Strengths on defense (defensive line, linebacker).  Notes from the Coach: I believe this years team will be pretty close to the previous years team.  We need to have some people step up and be ready to perform on both sides of the ball.
San Antonio Burbank - Coach Mike Jinks, returns 4 letterman 2 offensive 2 defensive starters with 9 letterman lost from a (1-9) team.
