Team Outlook
Garland Lakeview-Centennial - Coach Flint Risien (15-35-0) at Garland Lakeview-Centennial and (49-66-0) Overall, returns 24 letterman 8 offensive 4 defensive starters with 22 letterman lost from a (5-5) team.
Garland Naaman Forest - Coach Bill Patterson (18-23-0) at Garland Naaman Forest and (46-41-0) Overall, returns 29 letterman 4 offensive 4 defensive starters with 34 letterman lost from a (8-3) 5A Div. I Bi-district playoff team.
Garland - Coach Jeff Jordan (21-12-0) at Garland and (21-12-0) Overall, Offense (Wing-T), Defense (Multiple Even), returns 33 letterman 4 offensive 5 defensive starters with 31 letterman lost from a (7-5) 5A Div. II Area playoff team.  Notes from the Coach: We will be stronger again in 2004 for several reasons.  We return 33 letterman and 9 starters.  We have a tremendous amount of speed.  We are loaded with skilled kids.  We have several younger players who will move up from the JV (6-2-1) and freshman (7-2) and contribute this year.  Another year's continuity with the coaching staff will help.  Our returning players gained a tremendous amount of experience and confidence last year.  We have learned to win in the playoffs again - defeating Lufkin, who was ranked 5th in the state, gave our kids the confidence that they can compete with anyone in the state.  Tradition of excellence that has been established at Garland High School will help.
Garland Rowlett - Coach Kiff Hardin (12-18-0) at Garland Rowlett  and (12-18-0) Overall, Offense (I - Back / Spread), Defense (4-3 Multiple), returns 46 letterman 6 offensive 4 defensive starters with 25 letterman lost from a (5-5) team.  Overall Strength (defense), Strengths on offense (running back, kicker), Strengths on defense (linebacker, punter).  Notes from the Coach: We should have a little better overall team speed in 2004.  We will be smaller on the offensive and defensive lines and will have some unproven positions.  We have good experience returning at the offensive skill positions.  Defensive backfield will be inexperienced.  Very little depth - we must stay healthy.
Garland Sachse - Coach "Red" Behrens, Offense (Spread), Defense (Split).  Notes from the Coach: This will be our first varsity season.
North Garland - Coach David Farris (13-18-0) at North Garland and (13-18-0) Overall, returns 24 letterman 8 offensive 4 defensive starters with 19 letterman lost from a (6-4) team.
South Garland - Coach Mickey D. Moss (14-8-0) at South Garland and (34-30-0) Overall, returns 22 letterman 6 offensive 7 defensive starters from a (9-3) 5A Div. II Area playoff team.
