Team Outlook

Austin Lanier Vikings (Black, Gold, White) - Head Coach Dennis Ceder - (7-5-0) @ Austin Lanier and (37-17-1) Overall, Offense (Multiple Sets), Defense (Split), returns 17 letterman 4 offensive 2 defensive starters with 22 letterman lost from a (7-5) Div. I Regional team.   Lanier returns (2) 1st All-District players.  JV record (2-7).  Overall Strength - offense, Offensive strength - quarterback, Defensive strength - defensive line.  Notes from the Coach: Very inexperienced, varsity wise.  However, we did very well this year.  In 2003 Lanier was 1-9, in 2004 we were district runner-up and won the 1st round in the playoffs.  Hopefully, a winning attitude has been established.  We have good speed and decent strength and size.  The problem will be in having young (sophomore and junior) players stepping up to compete on the varsity level.

Austin Johnston Rams (Blue, Scarlet) - Head Coach David Garza - (0-10-0) @ Austin Johnston and (0-10-0) Overall, Offense (Multiple), Defense (4-3), returns 12 letterman 6 offensive 6 defensive starters with 13 letterman lost from a (0-10) team.  JV Record (0-10), Freshman Record (0-10).  Overall Strength - defense, Offensive strength - offensive line, Defensive strength - linebacker.  Notes from the Coach: Stronger work ethic, more experience at the QB position, and better team speed and physically stronger.

Austin LBJ Jaguars (Purple, White) - Head Coach Claude Mathis - (0-0-0) @ Austin LBJ and (0-0-0) Overall, Offense (Multiple), Defense (50), returns 18 letterman 6 offensive 7 defensive starters with 22 letterman lost from a (2-8) team.   LBJ returns (2) 1st All-District players.  JV Record (4-5-1), Freshman Record (5-4-1).  Overall Strength - defense, Offensive strength - running back, Defensive strength - defensive back.

Austin McCallum Knights (Blue, Grey) - Head Coach Pat Honeycutt -  (66-69-1) @ Austin McCallum and  (66-69-1) Overall, Offense (NA), Defense (NA), returns 18 letterman 5 offensive 5 defensive starters with 20 letterman lost from a (10-2) Div.
